From man's longest recollections, end of year celebrations have always been an instance where time seems to stop, leaving each person at liberty to express his thoughts about the show.  It's here where children's faces light up and parents and friends get caught up in imagining the joy of those boys and girls who are going to be the stars of the show for a while. 

It's also the time where the town dresses itself up in seemingly a thousand colours.  The curious then come to visit in search of curiosity and amazement.

If, in the distant past, the flame was a distinctive feature of its time, little by little, it has progressively dominated the most vibrant places, first of in the form of simple garlands, and then more structured, decorative elements, becoming more like complex motifs responding to particular themes.  Also, as light progressively replaces space, dreamers, poets as well as light scenographers imagine the town in a different way and seek to drape the city in lights in such a way as to allow themselves to transcend the confines of the city. 

And it is thus today that classic illuminations find themselves coupled with walls flooded with images, illuminations where dynamics compete with colour, multiple decors, alternative games of light which invade buildings as well as surrounding greenery...
